Wash Towers

Scrubbing systems and wash towers are implemented across many industries and constitute a viable option for odour (and chemicals) removal. The basic principle of scrubbing technology involves bringing polluted air into contact with a scrubbing solution, which separates the odour molecules from the airstream, thus alleviating the odour nuisance.

Scrubbers

Scrubbers are especially suitable where the molecules to be removed are easily dissolved in water, and in the case of high organic concentrations. In addition, their efficiency can be increased by using chemicals such as acids. Besides the obvious disadvantages of waste water and chemicals, scrubbers tend to take up lot of space and often fail to meet the desired odour reduction rates, as many odorous molecules refuse to dissolve in water.

Scrubbers in combination with Aerox-Injector

In some cases, an Aerox®-Injector will yield better results. In others, combining a scrubber (as part of a new solution, or one which is already operational) with an Aerox®-Injector will provide a very efficient, two-step odour control system.
